The College recognises that students sometimes require learning support during their studies. This can either be additional language, literacy and numeracy (LNN) support or general assistance with study skills. The Student Support Officer can assist with advice about resources. We can offer advice, referral to a counsellor, trainer or other qualified person depending on the nature of the problem.
Student Orientation and Pre-Arrival Information
The College provides the Student Orientation and Pre-Arrival Information documents to assist students with planning their journey to Brisbane, Australia and settling in to their first days at the College.
Student identification cards
Students should receive their student ID card within one week after enrolment. The ID card can be used as proof of identity and allows you to access public transport concessions. For security reasons, students must carry their ID cards at all times while on College premises.
Whilst at Queens College, please do not leave your possessions or college materials unattended. We do have security cameras for the general public area of the College however, you are responsible for the security of your personal electronic devices and possessions.
Student complaints and appeals
The College welcomes student feedback and suggestions on our services. This is important to us providing best-practice education and training conditions. Students have access to the College's complaints and appeals process. This allows for a fair and equitable process to be implemented for any complaint against the College in its assessment process, decisions relating to academic or attendance records and any other concern students may have. All complaints are handled in-confidence and are reviewed by the College management.
